Act
The act is a test that high school seniors take. It is a multiple choice, standardized test. Many colleges will use the score on the ACT to determine which students they will accept into their programs. The ACT measures math, English, science, and reading. The organization that runs the ACT gives it five times a year, usually at area high schools.
Any high school student is allowed to take it, but it is usually recommended that a student take it towards the end of the senior year. A perfect score on the ACT is a 36. It is very difficult to attain a perfect score on the ACT. Those that do are usually offered many scholarships to colleges. You can take the ACT test as often as you want, and the highest score you receive is the one you can enter on your college applications. You also can take classes to help you prepare for the ACT test. More Terms Explained here |
